BECOMING A BIG UNIQUE FAMILY STEP BY STEP
1987
Mr. Sergio De Matteis, after many years of experience in the trade of plastic materials, created Polycar Srl.
1994
In Vera Cruz, Mexico, the “Polycar de Mexico Sa de Cv” was formed. Two years later it became operational and continues to work in the following departments: moulding, housewares, garden & indoor furniture.
2003
Saw the merger of “ARPlast Srl” (a company doing the manufacturing for Polycar Srl and Polycar itself (trade), and now trades under the unique name of POLYCAR SRL.
2004
In Virton, Belgium, “Polycar de Belgique Sprl” was founded.
This company manufactures semifinished products in bales.
WHY Polycar
- After several years in the trade of plastic items, toward the end of the 70’s, the De Matteis family understood the importance of swapping that trade to the manufacture of raw materials.
- Furthermore, Polycar Srl’s been first one in Italy to develop new typologies of products: “PP filled with carbonate” used for the packaging of fruits & vegetables, “PS hyperfilled” used for disposable items suitable for contact with food. This gives our clients great benefits thanks to the improvement of their production’s results and to the quality’s enhancement of their products.

Polycar de Mexico Sa de Cv started working in 1996 to expand Polycar’s existing business.
This is because Polycar de Mexico Sa de Cv, manufactures its compound, and produces finished products such as garden furniture, housewares and indoor furniture.
In Mexico too, technological innovations are always sought and the company adopts every possible process to achieve environmental sustainability.
